About
Christine's interest in sustainability was born in Chile as a way to bring social and environmental justice to people under poor architectural conditions, such as homes without thermal comfort. Today, she works to translate this into a part of everyone's daily life.
Christine Vohringer is a MDes Energy and Environments from the Harvard GSD; with work experience in Germany, Chile, and the US in different capacities but always linked to sustainability and human well-being. Christine has built a long research path in materials health, daylight, thermal comfort, energy, life cycle analysis, and wood. She has developed research collaborations with the Wood Innovation Center from the Catholic University in Chile and the Harvard University Center for the Environment. She works as a Firmwide Sustainability Specialist for Perkins Eastman and maintains her research path through collaborations with several universities and institutions. She has presented at several conferences for sustainability and building performance around the world, including the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association the International Building Performance Simulation Association, and AIA International.
