About
As the director of our Whole-Building LCA Services, I'm looking to complete and reduce the whole view of the carbon emissions associated with our built environment.
Jacob joined The Green Engineer in 2019 as a Sustainability Consultant and was elevated to Director of Life Cycle Analysis Services in 2023. Here he manages wbLCA modeling which provides an integrative analysis of a building’s design, construction, and material selection to predict its embodied carbon, among other environmental impacts. Jacob is passionate about the emerging embodied carbon analyses field and helping teams understand the importance of, and strategies for, reducing embodied carbon through thoughtful material selection and construction practices.
Jacob remains closely connected to project work where he collaborates with project teams to promote sustainable building materials, implement energy-efficient strategies, and incorporate design elements that create healthier indoor environments.
Prior to TGE Jacob worked as a Project Engineer for Turner Construction Company. Jacob holds a B.S. in Building & Construction Technologies from The University of Massachusetts Amherst.
