With nearly 20 years in the field, Sarah Gudeman serves as a Principal and Building Science Practice Lead at BranchPattern. A Professional Mechanical Engineer, LEED Fellow, ASHRAE Building Commissioning Professional, Certified Passive House Consultant, and WELL AP, she excels in merging sustainable design with practical, cost-effective, future-forward solutions. Based in Omaha, NE, Sarah's early passion for nature and sustainability was cultivated by her family's involvement in environmental conservation through the Nature Conservancy.

Sarah currently chairs the EQ Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for the USGBC, playing an instrumental role in shaping the LEED rating system. She leans into her top-five strengths—Futuristic, Achiever, Maximizer, Strategic, and Focus—to solve complex engineering challenges that arise in both new and existing buildings.
