About
"I'm inspired by architecture in both form and function - how the built environment can evoke emotion and foster interpersonal relationships; can serve the local community and bring people together; and can create positive environmental change through regenerative design."
As Sustainability Manager, Elizabeth oversees Shawmut's sustainability program and company initiatives for impact reduction. Elizabeth serves as a resource to clients and internal teams, helping to drive sustainability and resiliency on projects. With experience in whole-building life cycle assessments, Elizabeth can assist with calculating and reducing embodied carbon, and she is actively involved in campus decarbonization plans across multiple higher education institutions.
Elizabeth has an M.S. in Sustainable Building Systems from the Northeastern University College of Engineering as well as a B.A. in Architecture from Wellesley College. She is a Certified Passive House Builder (CPHB) through PHIUS, holds a Living Future Accreditation (LFA) through the International
Living Future Institute (ILFI), and is OSHA 30-Hour Certified. Elizabeth is a member of the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts Sustainability Committee.
