About
Terrace Cedar is a proposed new construction, mixed-use multifamily project with 79 rental units, ranging from micro studios, typical one-, two-, and three-bedroom flats, to two- and three-bedroom duplex units, ground floor retail, and below grade parking. The intent is to provide a range of housing solutions for families of verify sizes and incomes within the neighborhood while demonstrating highly sustainable design.
It’s situated within a 5-minute walk to the MBTA’s orange line, Roxbury Crossing, T-stop and even closer to the Southwest Corridor Park. The project will be providing electric vehicle charging stations and electric bicycle charging racks for tenants. A separate, indoor tenant bicycle parking area will be provided in addition to a City Blue Bike rack. The project proponent is working closely with a community busing company to add an additional bus stop at Terrace Cedar to best provide accessibility.
The project will feature an extensive rooftop solar array system which will offset 100% of the buildings common area electrical loads. The project is pursuing Passive House standard and has completed preliminary energy modeling to show compliance with Article 37, Green Building and Climate Resiliency Guidelines.
