About

The Community Builders is one of America's leading nonprofit housing organizations whose mission is to build and sustain strong communities where people of all incomes can achieve their full potential. They realize their mission by developing, financing and operating residential communities, neighborhood amenities and resident opportunity programs. In their development work, TCB has worked to revitalize or construct high-quality, energy-efficient apartment homes. At North Commons at Village Hill, they are seeking to add a multifamily building that meets their sustainability goals and takes it to the next level of efficiency: the Passive House standard.
Working to achieve this level of performance and quality requires an integrated design process and teamwork from all parties throughout design and construction. This project has achieved Passive House certification under the Passive House Institute U.S. Program, as well as certifications for Energy Star, Indoor Air Plus, and Zero Energy Ready Homes.
